The Atwood Hotel

George at the Atwood Hotel front desk is exceptional—professional, proactive, and genuinely caring in every interaction. He solved every need with calm expertise and made the entire stay seamless and memorable. Management should know: George is a standout asset and absolutely deserves a raise.

We stayed at The Atwood Hotel for one night and paid $82 per night. It has two comfy beds. It has a flat iron, a hair dryer, air conditioning, and a box with a code where you can lock your valuable belongings. It also has a lampshade, a telephone (though I’m not sure if it works), a refrigerator, and a TV that we didn’t use. There’s a pool, and they even lent us their portable bassinet for our baby. There are also two chairs and a table. The room is quite spacious. I do recommend it. Only downside is you can hear cars passing by.

Had the best stay here, our room looked just like the pictures and the bed was comfy. The people at the front desk were great and the cleaning people came every other day. The pool and hot tub were well kept, the parking was free, and the security deposit was cheap. 10/10 experience, will go back.

This place is awesome from A to Z! The clerk was great, parking was easy, and the property felt safe, clean, and comfortable. The room had everything I needed, including a microwave (perfect for heating up leftover pizza). The beds and sheets were very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had great hot water and a tub. What's better than all that? The price! Under $100. The service was honestly unbelievable—| arrived at 4 AM on Thursday, and not only did they check me in immediately, but they gave me a Saturday checkout. Most hotels wouldn't do that. It saved me time, money, and the hassle of finding another hotel for Friday night. Thanks, guys! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place -Ck

The price for the location can't be beat. The room cpuld use some love but overall we were pleased. We stayed 3 nights. I really liked the size of the room. The internet was decent enough to have zoom meetings.

I stayed here a few times so I got to really get a feel for the hotel. Its a renovated motel spot worth considering. I get some of bad the reviews but my experience was satisfactory. Both times I stayed there I got the far side from the lobby which was a quieter experience since there's a music venue on the other side. Some of the rooms needs upgrades from what I've seen but I got lucky one of the times and got a fully done room. Water pressure was different in each of the rooms but not bad at all. So this all sounds off but it's a comfortable spot. Bed was decent, there's a good restaurant/bar and convenience store on site. Its really close to everything in SD, the staff was helpful for me, the pool/spa was is good shape, and wifi was decent. For the price I enjoyed it. 8/10!

For the price, I can't complain. The room was nice, but not fancy hotel nice. There were no sketchy people around, and the beds were comfy. It was clean enough. If you're looking for a basic place to stay for a good price, this is perfect.

We booked due to the deal found on Booking.com the Deposit was $60 perfect I would say. The room was clean but definitely could use some upgrades. The staff was nice. I rated it 4 stars because it wasn’t a bad experience.
